PHNOM PENH, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Ministry of National Defense said on Sunday that two people were aboard a missing military helicopter as search and rescue operations are going on amid poor weather conditions.
The chopper lost contact with the Air Force headquarters while flying over the densely forested Cardamon mountain range in Pursat and Koh Kong provinces during a regular training flight on Friday, the ministry said in a statement.
Bad weather was blamed for the incident.
"There were two personsdoggyrichesslot: a captain and a pilot aboard the helicopter," the statement said.
Search and rescue operations are underway despite poor weather conditions and foggy forest, the statement added.■
